Junior Power BI Consultant

Data-Driven AI is hiring a junior Power BI Consultant to join its Data and AI consulting team. This is a permanent entry-level opportunity for candidates located anywhere in Australia, with a work pattern that is mostly from home and occasional client meetings when required.

Growth Path

This position is designed to be a stepping stone beyond reporting. You will start by building capability in Power BI, including data modelling, DAX, Power Query, dashboard design, and analytics. Over time, the role can grow into broader Microsoft Power Platform work, including Power Apps, Code Apps, and Copilot Studio.

You will receive guidance from experienced consultants, support for certifications, and practical experience on live projects. The team also works with agentic delivery approaches and will show you how to build and manage agents to create strong outcomes for customers.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards for client projects.
• Develop a solid understanding of data modelling, DAX, Power Query, visuals, and analytics.
• Work directly with customers and communicate clearly about requirements and solutions.
• Support the delivery of software and AI-enabled solutions using agentic approaches.
• Contribute to broader Microsoft Power Platform work as your skills expand.
• Apply attention to detail and good visual judgement when creating reports.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of hands-on Power BI experience.
• Comfort talking with customers and translating their needs into practical deliverables.
• Strong eye for visual presentation and detail.
• Working knowledge of DAX, Power Query, data modelling, and report visuals.
• Understanding of core data concepts and SQL.
• Basic familiarity with cloud concepts.
• Interest in data, analytics, and AI, with a strong learning mindset and sense of ownership.

Preferred Qualifications

• Microsoft PL-300 certification.
• Experience with Power Apps, Copilot Studio, or the wider Power Platform.
• Exposure to data engineering concepts.
• Any project or solution you have created using agentic methods.
