Job description
Role overview
Daily Press Group is hiring a full-time Graphic Designer to join its Brisbane team in an office-based role at Virginia. This position is designed for someone who wants to progress in their creative career while working closely with a Creative Manager, Studio Manager, and experienced designers on a varied mix of client projects.
The role covers a broad range of output, including digital campaigns, websites, brochures, newsletters, signage, and other marketing collateral. The environment is fast-moving and collaborative, with work spanning clients in hospitality, retail, national franchise businesses, and sporting teams and events across Australia.
This is a supported midweight opportunity where you will contribute directly to client work from the start while building skills, confidence, and design judgment through close guidance from the studio leadership team.
Key duties
- Create design assets for websites, social media, email campaigns, and other promotional channels.
- Develop marketing materials such as brochures, PDFs, business cards, signage, and presentations.
- Work alongside the Creative Manager to strengthen creative thinking and execution.
- Join client review sessions and respond to concept feedback.
- Partner with the Print Production team to ensure artwork is produced correctly.
- Keep all design work aligned with brand standards and campaign goals.
- Maintain well-organised files and accurate version control practices.
What we are looking for
Applicants should be creative, eager to learn, and comfortable working in a supportive studio setting. The company is open to candidates who already have 1 to 2 years of experience and are ready to move into a more advanced role, as well as recent graduates whose portfolios demonstrate strong potential.
A qualification in Graphic Design, Digital Media, or a related discipline is preferred. Strong capability in Adobe Creative Suite is expected, with InDesign required for this role and Illustrator and Photoshop also important. A sharp sense of layout, typography, and visual storytelling is essential, along with good time management and a willingness to receive feedback.
Working hours and location
This is a full-time position with 37.5 hours per week. The regular schedule is Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM. The role is based onsite at the Virginia office in Brisbane, with free parking available and access to public transport nearby.
