Position Summary

We are seeking a Junior Mechanical Technician to join our Auckland Airport team. This role focuses on managing the operation and maintenance of the baggage conveyor systems, ensuring the equipment runs smoothly according to established service agreements.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate the baggage conveyor system in compliance with design specifications and service level commitments.
• Efficiently complete all assigned tasks with competence and accuracy.
• Maintain detailed and precise operational and maintenance records.
• Carry out both preventative and reactive maintenance tasks on conveyor equipment.
• Work rotating shifts covering 2:00am to 2:00pm and 2:00pm to 2:00am as required.

Candidate Profile and Requirements

• Experience working within industrial environments is essential.
• Possession of a valid full driver's license to operate necessary machinery.
• Preference for candidates with an elevated work platform license.
• Proven maintenance experience, including troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities.
• Welding experience is beneficial.
• Familiarity with mechanical components of conveyor systems or similar industrial machinery.
• Strong work ethic combined with effective time management abilities.
• Clear oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate well within a team setting.
