About the role
This fixed-term marketing Strategy & Operations role sits within Google’s marketing organization in London. The position is focused on turning data, market understanding, and cross-functional coordination into stronger marketing decisions and smoother execution. You will work closely with stakeholders across Marketing, Product, Finance, and Engineering, helping shape strategy, improve operational processes, and keep priority initiatives moving forward.
The role calls for a structured, hypothesis-led problem solver who can handle broad and sometimes unclear questions, communicate effectively, and collaborate confidently with people at different levels of the organization.
This is a fixed-term contract for 6 months.
Minimum qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree or an equivalent level of practical experience.
- At least 2 years of experience in marketing, brand management, strategy consulting, agency work, technology, or a closely related area, gained through full-time roles, internships, projects, or academic coursework.
- Hands-on experience using AI tools.
- Fluent English communication skills for supporting client relationship management in this region.
Preferred qualifications
- Strong knowledge of, and enthusiasm for, Google’s products, its technology, and its leadership in artificial intelligence.
- Demonstrated ability to juggle several operational tasks or projects at once while maintaining close attention to detail and deadlines.
- Comfort using spreadsheets or data visualization tools.
- Ability to stay effective in ambiguous and rapidly changing environments.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
What you will do
Strategy & Operations professionals in Google Marketing help guide major decisions through analysis, alignment, and execution support. In this role, you will contribute to local marketing strategy, coordinate day-to-day campaign activity, support leadership meetings and forums, manage budgets, track performance, and share insights with local and global partners. The work combines operational discipline with strategic thinking to improve marketing effectiveness at scale.
