Junior Manual QA Tester - Apple Ecosystem (iOS, iPadOS, watchOS)

Job Summary

We are looking for a meticulous Manual QA Tester proficient in Apple's ecosystem to conduct comprehensive testing of a sophisticated credit card application. This role involves manual end-to-end testing on multiple Apple devices including iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch, based in New York City on-site for a minimum duration of six months.

Primary Responsibilities

• Perform manual functional, regression, UI/UX, and exploratory testing on iOS, iPadOS, and watchOS platforms.
• Verify intricate financial logic such as credit card transactions, interest computation, balance updates, and rewards tracking mechanisms.
• Test synchronization and data consistency across paired Apple devices ensuring real-time updates and push notifications.
• Assess security components including biometric authentication features (FaceID and TouchID), Apple Pay integration, and the secure management of sensitive data.
• Manage the defect lifecycle by generating detailed bug reports that include reproduction steps, logs, screenshots, and device specifics.
• Maintain thorough documentation capturing UI behavior before and after test executions.

Qualifications and Skills Required

• At least 3 years of manual testing experience within the Apple ecosystem on native apps across iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch devices.
• Minimum 5 years of practical testing experience working on large-scale projects.
• Experience within financial sectors such as banking, fintech, investment, or credit card solutions.
• Proficiency with debugging tools like Splunk and Datadog for defect analysis and triaging.
• Experience conducting API testing using Postman or equivalent tools to validate backend responses and data payloads.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective reporting of issues, status updates, and risk assessments to stakeholders.
• Demonstrated ability to produce detailed test cases derived from complex financial requirements documentation.
