The company supplies quality RDTs along with dependable distribution, user training, and technical support to hospitals, clinics, laboratories, NGOs, and government health initiatives. Role Summary

The Junior IVD Specialist supports the assessment, rollout, and upkeep of in vitro diagnostic products, including rapid diagnostic tests, within clinical and laboratory environments. You will work alongside senior technical colleagues to deliver basic user training, handle initial troubleshooting, respond to technical questions, and help maintain compliance with internal and regulatory standards. The role also includes coordination with internal teams on stock requirements, support for field visits when needed, and contributing ideas that improve IVD workflows and customer support.

Qualifications

  • Basic understanding of in vitro diagnostics, rapid diagnostic tests, and standard laboratory practices.
  • Ability to gather data, maintain records, and prepare clear technical and non-technical reports.
  • Hands-on support for product testing, validation exercises, and routine quality assurance checks.
  • Good communication and client support skills for training users and addressing technical concerns.
  • Strong organization and time management to manage multiple tasks in a hybrid working setup.
  • Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Sciences, Medical Laboratory Science, Biotechnology, or a similar field.
  • Interest in public health and expanding access to diagnostics across Kenya and Africa; previous exposure to fieldwork or clinical settings is an added advantage.
  • Readiness to travel within Nairobi County and, from time to time, to other regions as required.
