Role overview
This position is suited to someone early in their IT journey who enjoys helping others, learning quickly in a fast-moving environment, and growing into systems administration and automation. The focus is on creating positive employee experiences while building practical, repeatable solutions.
What you will do
- Deliver hands-on IT assistance to in-office and remote employees, covering both hardware and software on Mac and Windows devices.
- Support office technology such as printers, Zoom Rooms, room scheduling tools, and Wi-Fi.
- Handle onboarding and offboarding tasks, including new-hire orientations, device setup and recovery, and account/access provisioning and removal.
- Oversee laptop logistics throughout the lifecycle, including setup, shipping, receipt, and asset tracking.
- Work with cloud and workplace tools such as Google Workspace, Azure AD/M365, Slack, Okta, Jira, Zoom, and related systems.
- Collaborate with Workplace teams on desk setups, office changes, and the employee experience, and coordinate with InfoSec on device compliance.
- Document processes by creating and updating runbooks and SOPs to keep operations reliable.
Qualifications
- At least 1 year of IT support experience is preferred; however, candidates with a CS/IT degree, strong side projects, or relevant certifications are also welcome.
- Must be able to work onsite five days per week in the SOMA office in San Francisco.
- Should be able to lift and move equipment up to 50 lbs, including shipments and monitors.
- A constructive attitude and enthusiasm for building new processes and policies in a fast-growing company are important.
- Comfort using AI tools to improve support work, scripting, and documentation is expected.
Compensation
The annual salary range for this position is $85,000 to $105,000. Pay is determined based on job-related factors such as location, experience, education, and specialized skills.
