Job description

Role overview

MOIA is looking for a Junior IT Support professional to join its Digital Workplace team in Munich. This position offers a chance to build an IT support career in a modern, cloud-oriented environment while learning from experienced colleagues and contributing to the growth of a new location.

The team works with cloud-first systems and aims to minimize on-premise hardware. Core workplace tools include Okta, Microsoft 365, Slack, and mobile device management solutions, with a strong focus on secure, scalable, and automated operations.

What you will do

  • Deliver first-line and near-desk support to employees based in the Munich office.
  • Track and resolve incidents and service requests through the ticketing platform.
  • Assist users with Apple devices and common workplace equipment in their daily work.
  • Support onboarding and offboarding activities, including setting up devices and assigning access.
  • Work with SaaS and collaboration tools such as Microsoft 365, Okta, Slack, Atlassian, and Miro.
  • Help prepare, deploy, register, and maintain devices and inventory.
  • Pass more complex issues to senior IT team members when needed.
  • Contribute to internal documentation and small process enhancements.
  • Apply best practices related to security, identity management, and digital workplace tooling.

Work setup

This role follows a hybrid model, but it requires regular presence in the Munich office, particularly while the location is being established and expanded.

What will help you succeed

You should bring some initial experience in IT support, helpdesk work, or a comparable role. Practical exposure to Apple devices in a professional or academic setting is important, along with a genuine interest in cloud-based workplace solutions and modern IT environments.

Familiarity with Microsoft 365, Slack, or Okta is considered an advantage. A willingness to learn mobile device management tools such as Jamf or Microsoft Endpoint Management is also useful. You should be comfortable using ticketing systems and working in a structured, process-driven way.

The role also calls for a service-minded approach, strong attention to the employee experience, reliability in onsite work, and good communication skills in English (C1) and German at least at B1 level.

Eligibility

Applications are welcome from candidates with varied backgrounds. Even if you do not meet every requirement, you are encouraged to apply if you are enthusiastic about the role and aligned with the company’s mission.

Benefits and perks

MOIA offers a competitive salary package that includes a bonus, along with a hybrid working arrangement that gives teams flexibility in deciding how often to meet in person.

Employees receive flexible working hours and, depending on personal needs such as parenting, care responsibilities, or volunteering, may access flexible work arrangements. The benefits package also includes a budget plus a monthly allowance for home office setup.

Team members may work remotely from outside Germany for up to 6 weeks per year from more than 35 countries, and receive a fully subsidized Deutschlandticket for commuting and travel within Germany, plus discounted MOIA rides.

Additional benefits include a subsidized fitness club membership or bike leasing, a learning-oriented environment with learning days, job rotation, training, workshops, coaching, conferences, books, and language classes, as well as mental health support with 1:1 sessions and mental unload workshops.

The company provides 30 vacation days, sabbatical and unpaid leave options, relocation support through a service provider for matters such as visa and administration, and dog-friendly offices.

Diversity and hiring approach

MOIA states that it actively supports diversity and inclusion across age, gender identity, race, sexual orientation, physical or cognitive ability, and ethnicity. The company says it provides unconscious bias training and works to maintain a diverse hiring panel.

How the company works

The organization operates with distributed teams across office locations in a hybrid setup, combining remote collaboration with on-site work. In-person time is considered important for staying connected, building trust, and solving complex challenges, while teams still retain autonomy over how they organize their routines.

About the company

MOIA is focused on rethinking mobility with safe, autonomous, and city-oriented transport solutions. The company has more than 400 employees and develops mobility technology for cities and public transport operators.

Its ridepooling service launched in Hamburg in 2019 and became part of the city’s public transport system in 2023. Since launch, the company has transported more than 12 million passengers. It is now evolving from a mobility provider into a technology provider with a scalable and safe turnkey solution for autonomous driving.

The team includes employees from more than 60 nationalities and works across offices in Berlin and Hamburg toward a shared mission of creating more livable urban spaces and reliable, safe, and comfortable mobility options.

Application notes

The company values authentic answers grounded in your own experience. It recommends that applicants avoid including a photo, age, address, or other information unrelated to qualifications. Applications are anonymized during the first review stage so that selection focuses on skills, experience, and potential.
