Role Overview
Iversoft is hiring a proactive, detail-focused Junior HR & Talent Coordinator to assist across human resources and recruitment. This position suits someone who enjoys talent acquisition and wants broader exposure to the full employee lifecycle. You will contribute to initiatives ranging from hiring and onboarding to performance support and offboarding, while helping strengthen the candidate and employee experience. The role also supports compliance, inclusive culture building, and the company’s approach to using AI in people operations. It offers meaningful scope to influence how Iversoft attracts, develops, and keeps great talent.
Key Responsibilities
- Respond to employee HR questions and explain policies and procedures in a clear, supportive way.
- Help onboard new hires and support their transition during the early period of employment.
- Assist managers with performance-related matters, including review cycles and goal-setting.
- Draft termination paperwork and help ensure employment-law compliance.
- Keep current on applicable employment standards and confirm HR practices align with ESA, OHRC, OHSA, and AODA requirements.
- Update and maintain the HRIS so employee information remains accurate and complete.
- Run HR surveys, including engagement surveys, and share summaries and insights with the HR team.
- Own job postings, sourcing efforts, and pipeline management to help attract strong candidates.
- Partner with hiring managers on job descriptions and interview steps that support Iversoft’s hiring goals.
- Take part in the full recruitment cycle, from screening and interviews to offer extension.
- Support employer-brand efforts through external events, webinars, and networking.
- Create and refine recruitment documents, processes, and policies to improve efficiency and applicant experience.
- Track, analyze, and report hiring metrics and candidate feedback to identify improvements.
- Use AI tools to improve HR and recruiting workflows such as sourcing, job drafting, onboarding, and survey analysis.
- Look for opportunities to develop AI-enabled internal HR tools and document the results and process gains.
- Bring forward ideas and recommendations that can improve HR programs and day-to-day operations.
Requirements
- 1 to 2 years of professional experience in HR, recruiting, or a related area.
- 2 years of experience in technical recruiting.
- Working knowledge of Ontario employment law and HR best practices.
- Experience with HRIS platforms; Rippling experience is an advantage.
- Experience with ATS tools; Workable experience is an advantage.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work well with internal and external partners.
- Experience supporting or managing performance management processes.
- Ability to prioritize and handle several tasks in a busy, fast-moving environment.
- Genuine interest in supporting a positive, inclusive workplace culture.
- Preferred: experience handling terminations.
- Preferred: practical experience using AI tools in an HR setting.
