Role Summary

The Junior Fire Fighting Technician will support the inspection, testing, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of fire protection systems so that they remain compliant with local authority requirements and internal standards.

Key Duties

  • Conduct scheduled inspections and preventive servicing for fire fighting systems.
  • Support testing and commissioning work for fire pumps, hydrants, hose reels, sprinkler networks, and suppression equipment.
  • Check valves, pressure gauges, control panels, and related components.
  • Carry out small repairs and replace worn or faulty parts.
  • Escalate defects, issues, and maintenance observations to the supervisor.
  • Prepare and update service documentation and maintenance logs accurately.
  • Work in line with UAE Civil Defence rules and required safety practices.
  • Assist with emergency breakdown response and corrective repair tasks.
  • Keep tools, equipment, and job areas tidy and well maintained.
  • Observe permit-to-work procedures and all site safety rules.

Requirements

Candidates should have an ITI, Diploma, or another equivalent technical qualification. The role calls for 1 to 3 years of hands-on experience in fire fighting system maintenance. Applicants should understand hydrant, sprinkler, fire pump, and suppression systems at a basic level. The ability to interpret simple drawings and maintenance checklists is important. A UAE driving licence will be considered an added advantage.

This position is based in Sharjah, Sharjah Emirate, United Arab Emirates and follows a full-time, on-site work arrangement.
