Role Summary

This is a full-time, on-site GIS Specialist position based in Jeddah. The selected professional will handle the collection, processing, and administration of geospatial information to support planning, engineering, and infrastructure work. The position calls for producing and maintaining digital maps and spatial datasets, carrying out spatial analysis, and preparing clear visuals, reports, and presentations for both internal teams and external stakeholders.

Key Duties

• Gather, prepare, and manage geospatial data for project use.
• Create, update, and analyze digital maps and spatial datasets.
• Perform spatial analysis to support planning and engineering decisions.
• Develop visual outputs, reports, and presentations for stakeholders.
• Maintain GIS databases and metadata while protecting data accuracy and consistency.
• Integrate GIS deliverables with other project documentation and systems.
• Work closely with cross-functional project teams to support GIS needs.
• Respond to mapping and data requests in a timely manner.
• Help improve GIS standards, tools, and workflows within the organization.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Strong working knowledge of GIS tools and software used in professional environments.
• Hands-on experience with geospatial data and map production, including capture, editing, analysis, and cartographic design.
• Good analytical ability and comfort managing spatial and non-spatial data.
• A bachelor’s degree in Geography, Geomatics, GIS, Environmental Science, Engineering, Urban Planning, or a closely related discipline.
• Exposure to spatial databases, coordinate systems, and basic automation or scripting such as Python or SQL will be considered an advantage.
• Ability to understand technical project needs and convert them into practical GIS outputs and map products.
• Strong accuracy, troubleshooting ability, and prioritization skills in a project-based setting.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills for work within multidisciplinary and multicultural teams on site in Jeddah.
