Job Opportunity
We are seeking a detail-driven and experienced Junior Estimator to assist Senior Estimators across various projects, ensuring adherence to company standards and client expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and interpret tender documents, including drawings, specifications, reports, and scope requirements.
- Compile pricing packages for consultants, subcontractors, and materials utilizing modern estimating software.
- Conduct cost analyses of consultants, subcontractors, and materials for price comparison.
- Manage tender documentation continuously through project phases.
- Price preliminary project items and submit reviews for senior management approval.
- Support the completion and submission of tender documentation.
- Assist in preparing project handover documentation, ensuring all necessary materials are collated.
- Maintain and update estimating data pertinent to reports and tender applications.
Candidate Profile
- Background in main contracting with relevant onsite operational experience or strong technical knowledge.
- Minimum of one year's relevant experience.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting drawings, specifications, and reports with the ability to identify risks and issues.
- Effective communicator possessing problem-solving skills and creative thinking capabilities.
- Capable of working independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Strong time management skills, ensuring accuracy and meeting strict deadlines.
- Holding a diploma or degree in Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or Construction-related disciplines.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel; familiarity with Conquest estimating software is advantageous.
- Possession of a valid driving license.
