Role Overview
The Junior Equity Trader & Investment Analyst will support both the trading operations and the investment management functions of the public equities platform. This role is ideal for individuals looking to expand their understanding of both trade execution and in-depth investment research within a dynamic asset management environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out equity trades following established investment and compliance standards.
- Monitor financial markets to identify liquidity trends and evaluate trading prospects.
- Update and maintain comprehensive records of trades, portfolio data, and transactional reports.
- Assist portfolio managers during portfolio construction and ongoing review processes.
- Conduct both fundamental and quantitative analyses of publicly listed companies and industry sectors.
- Prepare decision-support materials, including investment analyses, company briefings, and market updates.
- Participate in special projects that may include portfolio management or broader investment operations initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Mathematics, or a similar relevant field.
- A minimum of three years of experience in equity trading, investment research, asset management, hedge funds, proprietary trading, or analogous sectors.
- Solid foundational knowledge of equity markets, trading processes, and portfolio management principles.
- Proficiency in financial statement analysis, business fundamentals, and monitoring market conditions.
- Advanced analytical, problem-solving, and quantitative abilities.
- Experience working with Microsoft Excel and financial data platforms.
- Comfort operating independently in a small, entrepreneurial team setting.
- Keen interest in Southeast Asian capital markets and investment opportunities.
