Job description
Role overview
Dynamis is hiring a Junior Criminal Analyst to support one of HSI’s most prominent enforcement efforts focused on protecting the integrity of the U.S. workforce through Worksite Enforcement Unit operations. Based alongside HSI special agents, this role centers on reviewing I-9 employment records, business documentation, and government data sources to support worksite enforcement investigations at both national and international levels.
The position is highly detailed, fast-moving, and directly tied to enforcement outcomes such as Notices of Inspection, Notices of Intent to Fine, and other court-approved actions. It also provides an early-career entry into federal investigative work, with mentorship from experienced investigators and opportunities to build toward more advanced compliance and investigative responsibilities.
Key responsibilities
- Review employer I-9 forms, payroll files, corporate records, and related employment documents to identify compliance concerns and possible violations of federal immigration employment rules while working closely with investigators.
- Search and compare information across law-enforcement and commercial databases to uncover inconsistencies, trends, and evidence that strengthen active and emerging cases.
- Write precise, well-supported case summaries, analytical findings, and reports that can withstand review and directly contribute to worksite enforcement action.
- Support liaison efforts that connect domestic and international investigative initiatives and partner organizations.
- Keep case files complete, orderly, and aligned with DHS/ICE privacy and data-handling standards, while helping flag potential breaches of employment eligibility and worksite compliance requirements.
- Prepare briefing documents and analytical support materials for site inspections, enforcement operations, and leadership meetings.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, business administration, public administration, law, or a closely related discipline is required.
- Applicants should have 1 to 2 years of relevant professional experience in compliance, investigations, legal support, immigration services, or a similar area.
- Strong analytical and research ability is necessary, along with experience handling and summarizing large volumes of records and information.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential for preparing analytical deliverables and coordinating with federal law-enforcement personnel.
- Applicants must be capable of accurate, high-volume data entry from paper records into electronic systems and of running database searches across law-enforcement and commercial platforms.
- The selected candidate must be able to obtain and maintain ICE suitability clearance.
- U.S. citizenship is mandatory.
- Preferred background includes work with federal law-enforcement or regulatory agencies.
- Knowledge of employment eligibility verification, including Form I-9 compliance and E-Verify, is considered a strong advantage.
- Experience with HSI, ICE, or other DHS operations, as well as handling sensitive or law-enforcement-controlled data, is preferred.
- Familiarity with government databases or investigative case-management tools is beneficial.
Additional information
This role is intended for candidates who can work in a highly sensitive environment and contribute to enforcement support work with discretion, accuracy, and strong documentation practices.

The role requires ongoing eligibility to hold ICE suitability determination and compliance with all applicable privacy and data security requirements.
