Job description
Role overview
Dynamis, Inc. is hiring a Junior Criminal Analyst in Denver, Colorado to support a high-priority Homeland Security Investigations worksite enforcement mission. In this role, you will work closely with HSI special agents to review employment verification records, business documents, and government data sources that help drive national and international investigations. The position is highly detail-oriented, fast-moving, and directly connected to enforcement actions such as Notices of Inspection and Notices of Intent to Fine.
This opportunity is suited to someone who wants early exposure to federal investigative work, along with guidance from experienced investigators and room to grow into more advanced compliance and analytical responsibilities.
What you will do
- Review employer I-9 forms, payroll information, corporate records, and related employment documents to identify compliance issues and possible breaches of immigration employment rules.
- Search and compare information across law enforcement and commercial databases to uncover inconsistencies, trends, and other indicators that support ongoing investigations.
- Write concise and reliable case summaries, findings, and analytical reports that can stand up to review and support enforcement activity.
- Support coordination efforts that link domestic and international investigative initiatives and partner organizations.
- Keep case files accurate, orderly, and aligned with DHS/ICE data protection and privacy standards while tracking possible violations of employment eligibility and workplace compliance laws.
- Prepare briefing packets and analytical materials for inspections, enforcement actions, and senior leadership meetings.
What we are looking for
- A bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, business administration, public administration, law, or a closely related discipline.
- One to two years of relevant experience in compliance, investigations, legal support, immigration services, or a similar field.
- Strong analytical and research ability, with the capacity to review and synthesize large amounts of information.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for preparing reports and coordinating with federal law enforcement staff.
- Demonstrated skill in high-volume, accurate data entry and in running database searches across law enforcement and commercial systems.
- Ability to obtain and maintain an ICE suitability determination.
- U.S. citizenship is required.
Preferred background
- Experience with federal law enforcement or regulatory agencies is a strong advantage.
- Knowledge of employment eligibility verification, including Form I-9 compliance and E-Verify, is highly desirable.
- Prior exposure to HSI, ICE, or other DHS operations, especially handling sensitive or law enforcement-controlled information, is preferred.
- Comfort working with government databases or investigative case management tools is a plus.
Additional information
This is a full-time onsite position based in Denver, CO. The role offers an entry point into federal law enforcement investigations, with mentorship and development opportunities in compliance and investigative analysis.
