Job description
About the company
TradePay, part of Sanabil Studio, is building a new way for B2B commerce to work. Its stock-now-pay-later model gives suppliers and distributors the flexibility to extend payment terms to business merchants through a smooth, technology-led process.
Supported by Sanabil Studio, TradePay brings together software, funding infrastructure, and day-to-day operational know-how to improve working capital, strengthen cash flow, and help companies grow across different industries.
Role overview
As a Junior Collections Officer, you will manage soft collections activity for a portfolio of merchants, keep payment records accurate, monitor account movement across risk buckets, and help ensure escalations happen on time and according to process.
Key duties
- Carry out daily soft collection follow-ups by tracking payments, commitment dates, and settlement progress across assigned merchant accounts.
- Document every merchant interaction with clear, time-stamped collection notes.
- Verify incoming payments and reflect the correct account status without delay.
- Track merchant accounts in current, overdue, and delinquent categories.
- Spot early warning indicators such as changes in payment behavior, repeated payment commitments, and inventory-related issues, then escalate them to the credit team.
- Raise cases in line with the stated rules and within the required turnaround times.
- Work strictly within collections SOPs and the defined escalation structure.
- Keep daily records of communication, payment promises, and received amounts.
- Support weekly collections reporting by providing reliable data for recovery tracking.
- Share practical feedback on merchant conduct and operational challenges to help refine internal processes.
Candidate profile
You should be a strong match if you have 1 to 3 years of experience in collections, credit operations, or operations support, and you remain composed and professional in difficult conversations. The role suits someone who works accurately, follows procedures closely, maintains clean records, notices warning signs early, and takes responsibility for assigned accounts.
Work environment
The team works in a structured setup with formal training in professional collections methods and a clear escalation framework from the start. You will collaborate closely with the Credit and Operations teams, and your observations will contribute to process improvement. Because TradePay is still early in its growth, the standards you help build now will shape collections at scale in the future.
What you can expect
- Market-aligned compensation suited to your background and experience.
- Premium equipment and a complete setup provided from day one.
- One-to-one mentorship and career development from leaders with experience in building and scaling ventures.
- Potential opportunity to move into spin-off teams as they expand.
- A steep learning curve with exposure that can accelerate your growth significantly within 12 months.
