Job description
About ALRIGHTY
ALRIGHTY is a coffee company built on the belief that exceptional coffee can also be more responsible. With more than 30 years of experience in the coffee trade, the team is focused on improving the industry one cup at a time through high-quality coffee that is not only fair, but also Caretrade.
The company was founded with the idea that things can be done better: better quality, better conditions for farmers, and greater transparency throughout the supply chain. Today, ALRIGHTY operates its own roastery and coffee shops in Munich, has an engaged community, and counts Jane Goodall among its patrons. The next step is to go deeper into the green coffee trade, and the team is looking for someone who truly understands coffee and wants to learn the trade behind it.
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain green coffee supply chains, including sourcing and ongoing coordination.
- Carry out coffee tasting and deepen quality assessment skills through hands-on learning.
- Handle contract administration and keep track of related documents.
- Support monthly closing activities and valuation processes.
- Prepare analyses and presentations for purchasing topics and partner relationships.
- Contribute to the sustainability strategy and help implement Caretrade principles across the full supply chain.
- Work with the Jane Goodall Institute as a partner supporting environmental and species protection initiatives.
- Support collaboration with Menschen für Menschen on projects in coffee-growing regions.
Requirements
- Experience in green coffee trading, especially in purchasing and quality evaluation of green coffee.
- Strong understanding of coffee origins, processing methods, and cupping.
- Ability to taste, assess, and clearly describe what is happening in the cup.
- Basic knowledge of trading structures such as pricing and coffee supply chains.
- Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint; Power BI is an advantage.
- Fluent English; additional languages are welcome.
- A degree is not mandatory; practical ability and motivation matter most.
Benefits
- Immediate responsibility from day one in a setting without rigid corporate structures.
- Direct exposure to the full value chain, from plantation to cup.
- Learning opportunities from experienced founders who provide guidance and real-world insight.
- Workplace in Munich's attractive Werksviertel district.
- A company culture that actively supports sustainability and treats Caretrade as a core principle, not a slogan.
- Access to high-quality coffee every day.
Additional Information
The role is based in Munich, Bavaria, Germany and is intended to start as soon as possible. Applicants are expected to submit a strong application including both a cover letter and a CV.
