What you will do
- Build and contribute to financial and business models.
- Support financial due diligence work and help prepare presentations for senior leadership.
- Spot unusual expenses and adjust profit and loss statements so target businesses are represented accurately.
- Review, interpret, and draw insights from financial, operating, and statistical data.
- Grasp project and assignment goals, scope, and delivery expectations.
- Assess industry trends and the competitive landscape.
- Work with internal teams and external contacts to secure productive outcomes.
- Keep acquisition pipeline and workflow records current across the business.
- Investigate small and medium-sized businesses and gather commercial data needed for project documentation and reports.
- Prepare and update project materials such as information memorandums, due diligence checklists, and Q&A processes.
- Help coordinate and manage business sale transaction activity.
What you need
- A degree in Business, Commerce, Economics, Accounting, or a closely related field.
- Background as a Business Analyst or Financial Analyst.
- Strong command of financial and business concepts, models, accounts, drivers, and performance measures.
- Understanding of statutory and management reporting standards, calculations, and business management methods.
- Solid analytical ability, including both qualitative and quantitative analysis.
- Strong research capability and advanced report-writing and documentation skills.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with business valuation modelling.
- Confident verbal and written communication skills.
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and Google Mail.
