Job description
Overview
This is an 8+ month full-time opportunity based in Toronto, Ontario, with a hybrid work arrangement. The assignment is with a public sector client and focuses on supporting clinician onboarding and access verification for eReferral and digital health services.
The role is centered on business analysis, stakeholder coordination, documentation, and validation work tied to healthcare privacy and onboarding requirements. A strong working knowledge of PHIPA, Health Information Custodians (HICs), and digital health processes is important for success in this position.
Core Responsibilities
- Collect, review, and translate stakeholder input into clear business requirements.
- Check Health Information Custodian details and confirm legal onboarding conditions.
- Assign clinician users to the correct approved HIC categories.
- Develop process maps, functional documents, presentations, and briefing materials.
- Assist with stakeholder communication, issue handling, progress reporting, and onboarding support.
- Work in alignment with PHIPA and Ontario digital health policy requirements.
Required Background
- Solid knowledge of PHIPA, including rules around consent, collection, use, disclosure, and protection of personal health information.
- Understanding of Health Information Custodians and their responsibilities under PHIPA.
- Familiarity with the healthcare environment and digital health or EHR services.
- Hands-on experience with requirements gathering, business analysis, documentation, and stakeholder coordination.
- Strong analytical thinking, communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
Preferred Experience
- Prior experience working in the public sector is an advantage.
- Knowledge of information management practices and business analysis approaches is preferred.
