Junior Business Analyst

Role overview

This contract opportunity is for a Business Analyst based in Charlotte, NC, with a hybrid work setup. The assignment runs for more than 6 months and pays $30.00 per hour. The position focuses on supporting risk and compliance workflows by reviewing cases, tracking issues, maintaining records, and helping internal teams with reporting and day-to-day operational support.

What you will do

• Examine incoming cases to spot potential risks, compliance gaps, or operational concerns.
• Evaluate risk indicators and identify matters that need additional review or escalation.
• Keep case records current in the case management platform, such as Speak Up or a comparable system.
• Enter, revise, and maintain user and case details in internal tools.
• Prepare reports and analyze case volumes, risk patterns, and operational performance measures.
• Track case movement and make sure documentation remains accurate across the full case lifecycle.
• Handle ad hoc research, support requests, and other operational tasks as assigned.
• Work with internal stakeholders to help resolve cases quickly and follow established procedures.

What we are looking for

• Prior experience in a Business Analyst, Risk Analyst, Compliance Analyst, Operations Analyst, or comparable role.
• Strong ability to analyze information and solve problems.
• Hands-on experience with reporting and data analysis.
• Comfort managing several priorities in a fast-moving environment.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and reporting software.
• Previous exposure to case management systems is an advantage.
