Responsibilities

  • Conduct site and property inspections for planned projects.
  • Provide evaluation support for selecting other planning professionals involved in projects.
  • Develop preliminary plans including creating and comparing variants and initial drafts.
  • Supply work results as a basis for other professional planners, coordinating and integrating their contributions.
  • Establish schedules outlining key planning and construction milestones.
  • Consistently document and summarize project outcomes.
  • Advance design planning by refining details and collaborating with other specialists, ensuring alignment with initial plans.
  • Create drawings of appropriate scope and detail that comply with all technical requirements based on object type and size.
  • Prepare object descriptions such as specifications and service lists.
  • Update and refine project timelines as planning progresses.
  • Compile and submit documentation for regulatory approvals or necessary waivers, managing official negotiations with authorities alongside other planning contributors.
  • Modify submission documents as needed, for instance, in response to approval denials.
  • Draft service descriptions including specifications per performance area and calculate quantities based on execution plans utilizing input from colleagues.
  • Manage cost controls by comparing priced service specifications with the project’s cost calculations.

Requirements

  • Degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Thorough knowledge of schematic, preliminary, and execution planning phases.
  • Several years of professional experience in planning and managing construction projects.
  • Familiarity with permitting processes and legal obligations associated with building projects.
  • Proficiency in planning and drawing software such as AutoCAD and Revit.
  • Experienced in scheduling project timelines and cost management practices.
  • Strong organizational skills with a detail-oriented approach.
  • Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
  • Ability to think and work with a solution-focused mindset.
