Junior Accountant

Role Summary

Park Lane Motors, a well-established independent automotive dealership in the UAE, is hiring a meticulous and self-driven Cashier / Junior Accountant to strengthen its finance and accounts function in Dubai. The role is suited to someone who can manage day-to-day payment handling, keep records accurate, and support reconciliation and reporting in a busy retail automotive setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Accept and process customer payments through cash, bank transfer, cheque, POS, and online channels.
• Prepare and issue official payment receipts while keeping transaction records complete and organized.
• Check that all payment documents are in order before a vehicle is released.
• Prepare daily cash collection summaries and submit reconciliation updates to management.
• Work closely with Sales, Documentation, and Finance teams to confirm payments.
• Enter daily financial transactions correctly into the accounting system.
• Support bank reconciliation activities and payment follow-up tasks.
• Keep accounts receivable and accounts payable records up to date.
• Handle supplier invoices and payment-related requests.
• Assist with month-end closing work and financial reporting.
• Help prepare VAT-related documentation and audit files.
• Maintain proper filing of accounting records and supporting paperwork.
• Track customer balances, deposits, and pending payments.
• Coordinate payment confirmations with banks and finance companies.
• Assist in monitoring vehicle purchase payments and inventory-linked transactions.
• Support internal controls and compliance processes.
• Carry out additional finance or administrative duties assigned by management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a closely related discipline.
• At least 1 to 2 years of UAE-based experience in accounting or cashiering.
• Experience in an automotive dealership environment will be considered an added advantage.
• Comfort using accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong numerical thinking and analytical ability.
• Reliable, discreet, and able to handle confidential information responsibly.
• Well-developed organization and time management skills.
• Good English communication skills.
• Prior exposure to high-volume daily transactions is preferred.
• Working knowledge of UAE VAT requirements is preferred.
• Familiarity with ERP platforms or dealership management systems is preferred.
• Ability to stay composed and productive under pressure and tight deadlines.

Work Environment
