About the Role
This position sits within the Technology and Solutions team and focuses on keeping security systems running smoothly at client sites. The role is hands-on and centered on maintaining software components, resolving technical issues, and supporting a range of security technologies. You will work directly with clients, maintenance partners, and internal colleagues to deliver dependable service and strong customer satisfaction.
Core Responsibilities
Security system setup, technical maintenance, troubleshooting, testing, documentation, client support, and safety compliance form the key parts of this role.
Security System Implementation & Configuration
- Set up, test, and commission security solutions such as CCTV, access control, intercoms, and speed gates.
- Administer and support Windows Server environments, including high-availability setups for enterprise video surveillance, with responsibilities around RAID planning, storage tuning, and operating system hardening.
- Support network infrastructure by troubleshooting switches, VLANs, routing, and bandwidth-related issues so video streams remain stable and data stays intact.
Maintenance & Technical Support
- Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance for security platforms, especially their software and head-end components.
- Perform routine audits, firmware updates, backup tasks, and patching activities to keep systems secure and reliable.
- Identify and fix issues related to hardware, software, cabling, connectivity, and Windows Server configuration.
- Handle complex faults and integration problems through Level 2 and Level 3 support.
- Provide assistance both at site and remotely, with a focus on fast resolution of client issues and outages.
- Coordinate with customers, integrators, and internal teams to maintain service quality.
System Testing & Compliance
- Run stress tests, failover checks, and health assessments to support high availability and target uptime of 99.9%.
- Make sure all delivered solutions meet quality expectations and operational standards.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate technical records such as as-built drawings, configuration logs, and commissioning documentation.
- Track installation work, maintenance actions, and issue closures.
- Prepare performance reports and suggest improvements where needed.
Client Support & Ticket Management
- Reply quickly to client queries and provide technical guidance.
- Update and manage the maintenance ticketing platform; training for this will be provided.
- Train clients on how to use the systems and handle basic troubleshooting.
- Spot repeated problems and document fixes to improve future response times.
Safety & Compliance
- Follow all safety procedures during installation and maintenance activities.
- Ensure work is completed in line with local regulations, industry standards, and company policies.
Preferred Certifications
- Avigilon or Milestone certifications such as MCIT or MCIE.
- Lenel certifications such as LCA, LCP, or LCE.
- Additional preferred credentials include MCSA, MCSE, AZ-800/801, and CCNA/CCNP.
Experience and Qualifications
The ideal candidate holds a Degree, Diploma, ITC, or ITI in Electronics, Electrical, IT Engineering, or a related technical discipline and has 1 to 3 years of experience as a technician or engineer in the security services industry. Applicants with international experience outside the GCC may also be considered.
Technical and Personal Skills
Applicants should be comfortable working with IP-based security systems and should bring a strong foundation in networking, diagnosis, communication, and problem-solving.
Additional Notes
This role is based in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The job is full-time and on-site. The position involves supporting CCTV, access control, intercom, and gate barrier systems. Training will be provided for the ticket management system.
