About the Role

Join the Glenorchy Jobs Hub team dedicated to connecting local residents with employment opportunities in the Glenorchy community. As a Jobs Coach, you will provide direct support to individuals by enhancing their training, career readiness, and pathways to sustainable employment. Your role is pivotal in fostering strong relationships with both job seekers and local employers, promoting workforce development, and ensuring successful employment outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Establish and sustain effective connections with local employers and job seekers.
  • Align job seekers with appropriate vacancies while offering personalized employment guidance.
  • Organize and manage training and workforce development activities tailored to community needs.
  • Interact with employers to understand their workforce demands and advocate for Jobs Hub services.
  • Keep accurate records of job seeker data within the CRM system.
  • Provide ongoing support after job placement to both employees and employers.
  • Partner with the Jobs Hub Coordinator to analyze employment trends and community requirements.
  • Represent the Jobs Hub at various community functions, meetings, and networking events.
  • Collaborate closely with local Employment Service Providers to identify and connect qualified candidates.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Demonstrated experience in recruitment, employment services, or related sectors.
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills adaptable to diverse audiences.
  • Effective organizational and time management abilities to meet established targets and deadlines.
  • Comprehensive understanding of unemployment challenges and methods for guiding job seekers toward sustainable employment.
  • Flexible, resilient, and solution-driven mindset with capability to work both independently and in teams.

Position Details

  • This is a fixed-term role ending on 30 September 2027.
  • Full-time employment with 76 hours worked per fortnight.
