About the role

Howard Center is hiring a Job Coach to support people receiving developmental services at their workplace in Burlington, Vermont. In this role, you will demonstrate professionalism and a constructive attitude while working with both the client and the employer.

Key responsibilities

  • Carry out employment goals and training plans outlined in the client’s Individual Support Agreement.
  • Step in at times to help with the client’s assigned workload as part of on-the-job training and to make sure the expected amount of work is completed.
  • Share observations about support approaches and progress with the client’s care team.
  • Provide transportation for the client to and from the worksite.

Requirements

  • A mix of relevant education and work experience will be taken into account.
  • A valid driver’s license is required.
  • You must have access to and use of a personal vehicle.

Work schedule and structure

This position is scheduled for 37.5 hours per week. It is classified as non-exempt and covered by the AFSCME union, with dues applicable.

Compensation

The starting pay is $20.52 per hour, with salary aligned to experience.
