About the Company

They specialize in OEM/ODM manufacturing, private label creations, and custom-designed jewellery for a global clientele.
Role Overview
The Jewellery CAD Designer will be responsible for producing precise and high-quality 3D CAD models of various jewellery pieces such as rings, pendants, earrings, bracelets, and necklaces. This role involves transforming sketches, images, or customer ideas into finalized CAD designs ready for production, preparing these models for casting and manufacturing processes, and making modifications based on client feedback. The designer will collaborate closely with the production team to ensure designs are practical for manufacturing while maintaining accuracy in dimensions, stone placements, and metal weights. Additionally, the role includes creating rendered images when necessary.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed 3D CAD models for diverse jewellery items.
- Translate conceptual sketches or images into production-ready designs.
- Prepare designs suited for casting and manufacturing stages.
- Incorporate customer feedback to adjust existing designs.
- Work alongside production teams to validate manufacturability of designs.
- Ensure precise details including dimensions, gemstone settings, and metal weight are maintained.
- Create realistic renderings of jewellery designs when required.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Proficiency in software such as Rhino, MatrixGold, RhinoGold, JewelCAD, or ZBrush.
- Familiarity with jewellery manufacturing techniques and processes.
- Understanding of various gemstone setting methods including prongs, bezels, channels, and pavé.
- Capability to design lightweight and production-friendly jewellery pieces.
- Strong attention to detail and design accuracy.
Educational Requirements and Experience
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Jewellery Design or a related discipline.
- Experience ranging from fresh graduates with excellent CAD skills to professionals with 1 to 5 years in Jewellery CAD Design.
