Job description

Overview

This role is based in a busy travel-center environment where the focus is on keeping the site clean, safe, and welcoming for every guest. The position suits someone who enjoys practical work, helping people, and being part of a team that serves travelers, drivers, commuters, and other visitors throughout the day.

The workplace is fast-moving and varied, with chances to learn different functions across the travel center and restaurant operations. Team members may also be trained for other positions when opportunities arise.

Compensation

Hourly pay starts at CAD 15.55 and can go up to CAD 19.65.

Key Duties

  • Keep the store and surrounding areas clean and orderly.
  • Clean showers and restroom areas to a high standard.
  • Wash towels used for showers, including loading and unloading laundry.
  • Handle minor store repairs and general maintenance tasks.
  • Collect and remove trash from the travel center.
  • Support guest satisfaction by maintaining well-kept facilities.

Requirements

  • Strong self-motivation and a proactive approach to work.
  • Comfort working cooperatively within a team.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and remain on your feet or walking for most of the shift.
  • Availability for a flexible schedule that may include nights, days, weekends, and holidays.
  • Previous experience in a comparable role is preferred.
  • Familiarity with industrial equipment and the ability to handle small repairs is an advantage.
