Job Summary

We are currently seeking janitorial staff for both full-time and part-time roles within the Roane County School District, primarily at 104 Dog Town Road, Ten Mile, TN 37880, with additional openings across the district. This role focuses on maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of buildings to provide safe environments for students and staff.

Work Schedule and Location

Work hours are Monday through Friday, from 1:00 pm to 9:00 pm. Both full-time and part-time schedules are available, offering flexibility to accommodate most scheduling needs. The position is remote in terms of application process but requires onsite attendance.

Responsibilities

• Collect and dispose of trash according to established procedures and infection control standards.
• Perform dusting and damp mopping on floors per approved cleaning protocols.
• Relocate furniture and equipment to facilitate thorough cleaning and restore them to proper positions.
• Sanitize all surfaces using assigned cleaning materials and equipment, adhering to an eight-step cleaning process.
• Wash walls, windows, baseboards, furniture, and other fixtures to sustain a clean and safe environment.
• Proactively identify and address areas requiring cleaning without prompting.
• Complete all tasks assigned by supervisors diligently and comply with federal, state, and county regulations.
• Execute floor maintenance including stripping, scrubbing, buffing, refinishing, and carpet shampooing.
• Demonstrate professionalism and contribute positively to the team and stakeholder interactions.
• Perform any additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Previous janitorial experience is preferred but not mandatory as training is provided.
