Role Overview

The Janitor position is a full-time role onsite in Surulere, Lagos State. The primary responsibility is to ensure cleanliness and orderliness of designated residential, commercial, or event locations. Duties encompass sweeping, mopping, dusting, waste management, restroom sanitation, replenishing cleaning and restroom supplies, and basic maintenance of cleaning equipment. The janitor supports both post-construction and event-related cleaning tasks and cooperates with team members to fulfill cleaning schedules. Professional interaction with clients and prompt reporting of maintenance or safety concerns to supervisors are integral parts of the job.

Candidate Qualifications

• Experience or skills in janitorial work and general housekeeping practices such as floor maintenance, restroom sanitation, and waste disposal.
• Strong customer service capabilities to engage with clients and co-workers courteously and professionally.
• Understanding and adherence to cleaning protocols with focus on hygiene and safety standards.
• A basic sales aptitude to assist in promoting company cleaning products and services when necessary.
• Capability to work full-time on site, including standing for long durations and safely performing physical cleaning tasks.
• High attention to detail, dependability, and ability to adhere to instructions and schedules without close supervision.
• Previous experience in janitorial or housekeeping roles is advantageous but not essential.
• Basic reading, writing, and numerical skills, with effective English communication; knowledge of Lagos locations is beneficial.
