Role Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic IT Support Officer to join our fully remote technology team, catering exclusively to candidates authorized to work within Australia. This entry-level opportunity is ideal for individuals dedicated to technology and eager to begin their career in IT support while working from their location within Australia.
Primary Duties
- Deliver first-line technical assistance involving hardware, software, and network challenges.
- Address IT help requests through multiple communication methods such as email, phone, chat, and remote access tools.
- Diagnose and remedy user problems linked to computers, applications, and network connectivity.
- Handle the installation, setup, and upkeep of desktops, laptops, printers, and assorted IT hardware.
- Support users in the utilization of Microsoft 365, operating systems, and standard business software.
- Manage and update service tickets within IT service management platforms.
- Assist with user account creation, password management, and permissions control.
- Keep IT asset documentation current and assist with equipment distribution and inventory management.
- Escalate more complicated technical issues while maintaining timely communication and follow-up actions.
Candidate Requirements
- Possess a diploma or bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a closely related discipline, or equivalent technical expertise.
- Have a foundational knowledge of computer hardware, Windows OS, networking basics, and troubleshooting methods.
- Experience or familiarity with Microsoft 365, Active Directory, remote support platforms, or ticketing systems is beneficial.
- Exhibit strong analytical abilities coupled with effective problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrate excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Be capable of independent work while also thriving in collaborative remote team settings.
- Show eagerness to learn emerging technologies and enhance IT competencies.
- Legal authorization to work in Australia is mandatory.
