Role overview

We are seeking an entry-level / junior IT Support Officer to help keep day-to-day technology services running smoothly. This role suits someone who is enthusiastic about starting a career in IT, enjoys helping users, and can deliver dependable technical assistance across hardware, software, and network-related issues.

Key responsibilities

  • Act as the first point of contact for common technical problems involving devices, applications, and connectivity.
  • Set up, install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, printers, and other peripherals.
  • Diagnose issues and resolve them efficiently while maintaining a professional approach.
  • Help users with account creation, password resets, and access-related requests.
  • Support Microsoft 365 tools, email services, and everyday productivity applications.
  • Keep clear and accurate logs of incidents, resolutions, and IT equipment records.
  • Refer more complex matters to senior IT staff when required.
  • Assist with maintenance tasks, system updates, backups, and ongoing IT improvement work.

Requirements

  • Fundamental understanding of computer hardware, software, operating systems, and basic networking.
  • Working familiarity with Windows environments and Microsoft Office / Microsoft 365.
  • Strong ability to investigate issues and find practical solutions.
  • Good verbal and written communication, along with a helpful customer-service mindset.
  • Ability to juggle multiple requests and prioritize support tasks effectively.
  • Careful attention to detail and a willingness to learn new technologies.
  • An IT-related qualification, certification, or technical training will be considered an added advantage.
