Role overview
This part-time IT Support Officer role supports day-to-day technical needs for staff based in Australia, with the main focus on the Melbourne, Victoria office. The position combines on-site work in Melbourne with some work-from-home days.
What you will do
You will handle hardware and software support requests, log and monitor tickets, and escalate more complex issues when needed. The role also includes helping with equipment setup and configuration, updating systems, and documenting procedures that improve the team’s technology experience.
Requirements
- Strong background in technical support and information technology, with the ability to assist users at different skill levels.
- Proven problem-solving ability for diagnosing and resolving issues in Windows environments and standard office applications.
- Experience maintaining desktop computers, including installations, updates, and basic backup tasks.
- Knowledge of printer support, including setup of local and network printers, paper jam troubleshooting, print queue management, and driver configuration.
- Good English communication skills, both spoken and written, along with strong time management, service orientation, the ability to work independently in a hybrid setup, and a willingness to keep learning.
