Role Overview
We require IT Support Engineers on a one-year contract via Quess Corp payroll, positioned within the IT Infrastructure, EUC & Operations department. This role involves providing advanced technical support and troubleshooting for various end-user computing and infrastructure components. The position demands hands-on problem-solving skills, managing L1 and L2 support tickets, and maintaining compliance with organizational standards and SLAs. Candidates should be willing to work six days a week from office, with rotational shift capabilities including night and plant shifts.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver Level 1 and 2 technical assistance for desktops, laptops, printers, conferencing devices, and business software.
- Manage daily L1 support tasks such as password resets, hardware setups, alongside complex L2 infrastructure issues.
- Set up, configure, and maintain Windows, Linux, and macOS operating systems.
- Oversee Windows Server environments (2016-2025) including patching and health monitoring.
- Monitor network and server infrastructure performing preventive maintenance.
- Support Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft 365, and Google Workspace platforms.
- Resolve connectivity issues involving LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, DNS, DHCP, and TCP/IP protocols.
- Administer antivirus and endpoint security software.
- Manage backup operations and restore procedures when necessary.
- Support IT infrastructure for QC, R&D, and plant-floor including laboratory systems.
- Install and maintain authorized applications and manage IT assets including inventory and warranty tracking.
- Liaise with OEMs, vendors, and third-party technical teams for issue resolution.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and infrastructure records.
- Ensure timely resolution of incidents within SLA using ticketing systems.
- Escalate critical issues appropriately while maintaining ownership.
- Participate in disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
- Support cybersecurity initiatives, vulnerability management, and compliance adherence.
Required Skills & Experience
- Proficiency in Windows desktop and server administration (2016/2019/2022/2025).
- Experience supporting Google Workspace environments.
- Networking knowledge including troubleshooting LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, and VPN.
- Backup solution management experience (e.g., Backup Exec, Veeam).
- Endpoint security, antivirus administration, and patch management expertise.
- Familiarity with IT service management and ticketing tools such as Symphony, ServiceNow, ManageEngine, or Jira.
- Basic firewall and VPN troubleshooting skills.
- Hands-on experience with plant-floor hardware like barcode scanners, label printers (Zebra/Honeywell), weighing scales, and industrial PCs.
- Understanding of network segregation for plant and corporate networks via VLANs and firewalls.
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, communication, and customer service skills.
- Ability to document technical processes and work collaboratively or independently.
Educational & Certification Requirements
- Degree in B.E., B.Tech, BCA, MCA, B.Sc. IT, or equivalent qualification.
- Preferred certifications include Microsoft Certified and CCNA.
Additional Information
- Work location: Aurangabad preferred.
- Shift work capability including rotational and night shifts is mandatory.
- Leadership skills and experience in team management are advantageous.
- Competence in reporting, MIS, and dashboards is beneficial.
- Experience handling production plant operations and liaising with senior management is a plus.
Working Conditions
