Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the entire IT procurement lifecycle involving purchasing of hardware like servers, networking equipment, end-user devices, software licenses, and outsourcing services.
- Manage tasks such as requirements validation, sourcing and screening suppliers, coordinating RFQ/RFP processes, price comparisons, contract administration, order tracking, delivery acceptance, and invoice reconciliation.
- Contribute to formulation and ongoing enhancement of procurement policies, workflows, and templates including RFQs and contract documents.
- Build and maintain supplier relationships and network optimizing IT procurement strategies.
- Monitor IT hardware markets to analyze technology trends, pricing developments for components such as chips, GPUs, storage, and network equipment to inform sourcing decisions.
- Lead and engage in supplier negotiations to secure advantageous terms related to pricing, quality, payments, and service conditions.
- Identify new suppliers, alternative products, and innovations aimed at cost reduction and value maximization.
- Assist in compiling and managing annual procurement budgets including tracking expenditures and procurement planning alignment.
- Perform additional ad hoc duties assigned by leadership.
Candidate Profile
- Diploma or degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Computer Science, IT, or closely related disciplines preferred; candidates with strong procurement experience from other fields will also be considered.
- Minimum five years' experience in procurement, ideally focused on IT or indirect sourcing.
- Basic understanding of computer hardware including server CPUs, memory, storage architecture; networking devices such as switches, routers, firewalls; and end-user equipment like desktops, laptops, monitors, and conferencing hardware.
- Knowledge of internet connectivity, cloud technologies, and high-speed networking is advantageous.
- Well-versed in procurement workflows with proven commercial negotiation, contract management, and supplier oversight capabilities.
- Competent in conducting bid comparisons and negotiations even under conditions of incomplete information.
- Skilled user of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; experience with ERP or Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) systems preferred.
- Detail-oriented with a high sense of accountability and professionalism.
- Excellent communication and cross-departmental coordination abilities supporting collaboration across IT, finance, legal, and business functions.
- Fluency in English and proficiency in Mandarin to effectively engage with Chinese-speaking stakeholders.
