Job description
Role Overview
This position is for an IT Project Manager who can speak Japanese, based in Singapore. The role focuses on driving project execution, coordinating multiple stakeholders, and ensuring delivery quality across platform, infrastructure, and system release activities. The work location is 12 Marina Boulevard, Financial Center Tower 3, Level 30, Singapore 018982.
Project Delivery Support
- Lead projects from kickoff through closure while making sure deliverables align with business expectations and quality standards.
- Create and manage project plans, timelines, and resource assignments.
- Keep deliveries on schedule, within scope, and inside the approved budget.
- Prepare materials for Steering Committee reviews and examine meeting minutes.
- Track actions and comments raised by the Steering Committee until they are resolved.
Process and Methodology
- Follow the required delivery framework, governance standards, and control procedures.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks and issues, and put mitigation measures in place.
- Coordinate with the bank-side Project Manager on the overall plan from platform, infrastructure, and system delivery/release perspectives.
- Ensure all deliverables are clearly defined and understood across the system delivery teams.
- Provide the Bank’s PM with timely updates on delivery status, risks, issues, and escalations.
- Assess project risks and prepare appropriate mitigation plans.
- Review project dependencies and surface them early to prevent delivery problems.
- Maintain the issue register and keep it aligned with the project’s open items until closure.
Stakeholder Coordination
- Work closely with the Bank’s IT Project Manager, SMBC and JRI HO PICs, APAC IT and JRIS PICs, the HO project team, and vendors to keep scope and timelines aligned.
- Share detailed project updates and timely status reports, and escalate concerns when needed.
- Promote clear communication, collaboration, transparency, and accountability across functions to support project goals.
Additional Project Work
- Take on other project-related responsibilities assigned by the Bank Project PM, based on the required skill set.
Language Requirement
Japanese speaking proficiency is mandatory for this role.
