They are seeking a detail-focused and analytical Digital Governance Specialist to assist in enforcing digital governance policies and maintain compliance throughout the organization.

Role Overview

The Digital Governance Specialist will be responsible for supporting the implementation and oversight of digital governance policies and procedures. The role includes ensuring adherence to national regulations on digital transformation, cybersecurity, and data governance. The specialist will also assist in enhancing the organization's digital maturity and fostering a culture of strong governance.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in applying and tracking digital governance policies across departments.
• Help ensure compliance with national digital transformation, cybersecurity, and data governance regulations.
• Contribute to developing, updating, and documenting governance policies and frameworks.
• Oversee that systems and digital platforms comply with approved technical standards and governance requirements.
• Maintain governance registers, digital records, policy documents, and compliance metrics.
• Compile and organize data for governance reports and audits.
• Create procedural guides, templates, and documentation supporting digital governance and transformation efforts.
• Participate in digital maturity evaluations, analyze findings, and identify areas for improvement.
• Monitor corrective action plans to ensure prompt resolution of audit and review findings.
• Support digital risk management by recording observations and tracking remediation tasks.
• Prepare regular reports covering governance performance, compliance status, and enhancement projects.
• Liaise with regulatory agencies and audit teams on reporting and governance matters.
• Ensure departments adhere to established governance channels and operating procedures.
• Assist in internal awareness initiatives promoting digital governance and cybersecurity best practices.
• Contribute to refining governance processes to boost operational efficiency.
• Embed compliance and governance requirements in digital transformation projects from the outset.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related discipline.
• 2 to 4 years' experience in IT governance, digital transformation, compliance, or cybersecurity support roles.
• Thorough knowledge of IT governance frameworks and digital compliance standards.
• Ability to interpret governance metrics and technical information.
• Experience preparing technical and managerial reports.
• Competent in operating enterprise systems and digital platforms.
• Excellent organizational aptitude and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork capabilities.
• Preferred certifications: ITIL or COBIT in IT Governance, ISO 27001 training in Information Security, Digital Transformation fundamentals, IT Risk Management, and Digital Compliance courses.
• Fluency in Arabic and English languages.

Performance Metrics

Success will be measured by adherence to digital governance policies, prompt resolution of risk and compliance issues, accuracy in governance documentation, improvement in digital maturity scores, and quality and punctuality of governance reports.
