Role Overview

We are looking for an IT Deskside Support Engineer to provide onsite assistance at our client’s headquarters located in Dublin. This role operates in a fast-paced environment, ideal for professionals seeking growth in IT and infrastructure support. The position involves supporting a range of users, including C-suite executives, with a focus on urgent and high-priority technical issues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Offer extensive helpdesk support addressing a variety of user technical inquiries and challenges.
  • Deliver prompt and effective technical solutions to maintain user satisfaction.
  • Keep accurate logs of support requests and their resolutions using the helpdesk system.
  • Resolve problems related to Okta authentication and logins.
  • Manage password resets and facilitate new starters, leavers, and internal moves following established procedures.
  • Handle email management tasks such as forwarding requests and distribution list updates.
  • Prepare and dispatch devices including laptops and printers as required.
  • Provide support for hybrid infrastructure environments, covering Azure IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS platforms.
  • Assist with the management of Azure infrastructure components like virtual machines, security groups, endpoint management, and Entra ID.
  • Perform root cause analysis on incidents and contribute to problem management activities.
  • Ensure compliance with all IT protocols, processes, and solution standards.
  • Work closely with the IT team to implement infrastructure projects and support a diverse user base.

Candidate Profile

  • Possess a service-oriented mindset coupled with previous IT support experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft operating systems including Windows and Windows Server, as well as Apple's iOS.
  • Familiarity with Azure cloud services, Mobile Device Management (MDM), Office365, and Microsoft Teams.
  • Excellent diagnostic and troubleshooting capabilities.
  • A proactive, customer-focused approach with a positive attitude.
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic helpdesk environment supporting VIP users.
  • Holds either an Azure certification or a related IT degree along with relevant practical experience.
