Role overview
IPG Photonics is an international high-tech manufacturer known for fiber laser sources and laser systems used in materials processing and other industrial applications. With more than 30 years of development and production experience and a global team of over 5,000 employees, the company is hiring an IT Business Analyst for its Burbach site in the IT organization.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with business teams to understand their needs and translate them into practical IT solutions.
- Evaluate, map, and improve business workflows in line with BPMN methodology.
- Help introduce new processes and enhance existing ones inside the current IT landscape.
- Draft functional requirements, end-user guides, training content, and operating instructions.
- Organize, coordinate, and run user acceptance testing for new software implementations.
- Track project milestones, assist with software go-lives and releases, and liaise with internal teams as well as external suppliers.
Profile
- A bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Informatics, Computer Science, or a comparable subject is required.
- Prior experience in an IT Business Analyst or IT Project Manager role is expected.
- Practical exposure to business process analysis and optimization using BPMN is needed.
- Good understanding of project management topics such as resourcing, scheduling, and risk handling is important.
- Experience preparing specifications, user-facing documentation, and training materials is required.
- Strong analytical ability, communication skills, and a problem-solving mindset are essential.
- Professional English is required; German skills are an added advantage.
