Overview

Join ASCENRA TECHNOLOGIES as an IT Administrator based in the Greater Toronto Area, Canada. This full-time, onsite role reports directly to the Founder/Head of Technology. You will play a critical role ensuring reliable and efficient IT infrastructure to support a growing team in a startup environment where processes are evolving.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and configure laptops and workstations for new staff, including account setup, email, software installation, and security configurations.
  • Maintain an up-to-date inventory of all company laptops, accessories, and IT assets.
  • Provide daily troubleshooting and coordinate device repairs; manage device handover during onboarding and exits.
  • Handle day-to-day IT operations within the office, including installation and maintenance of printers, scanners, Wi-Fi, and other common equipment.
  • Ensure consistent internet connectivity and local network accessibility.
  • Coordinate with external vendors for hardware procurement, repairs, and annual maintenance contracts.
  • Set up and maintain conference room technologies such as monitors, speakers, webcams, and cabling.
  • Keep meeting rooms equipped for presentations, virtual meetings, and collaborative discussions with quick resolution of AV issues.
  • Administer IT security protocols including password management, access control, antivirus updates, and compliance adherence.
  • Maintain secure system access to email, shared drives, and collaboration platforms, tracking and escalating risks as necessary.
  • Manage Microsoft 365 accounts, user access, license allocation, software renewals, and user support for productivity applications including Outlook, Teams, Word, and Excel.
  • Maintain detailed records of software installations, licenses, and permissions.

Candidate Profile

  • 3 to 6 years of relevant IT experience.
  • Highly responsible and organized with a practical, hands-on approach to resolving everyday IT challenges.
  • Comfortable providing support across hardware, software, and network connectivity issues.
  • Good knowledge of laptops, operating systems, printers, Wi-Fi networks, meeting room setups, and user account management.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 administration preferred.
  • Strong ownership mindset, ability to follow through tasks with practical problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and a service-oriented attitude.
