About the Role
This position offers more than just a typical job—it provides a meaningful opportunity to make a significant impact by supporting vulnerable individuals in South Cumbria, including areas such as Barrow in Furness, Ulverston, Kendal, and Grange-over-Sands. Working as an IPS (Individual Placement and Support) Employment Specialist, you will join an evidence-based NHS service that helps people living with severe mental health conditions to find or maintain employment that supports their recovery and well-being. The service is highly regarded and accredited by NICE, The Royal College of Psychiatrists, ERSA, and MATRIX.
Responsibilities
- Manage and support a small caseload of clients, helping them secure meaningful and suitable employment that aligns with their individual needs.
- Provide ongoing assistance to clients living with severe mental illnesses to enable job retention and career development.
- Collaborate with NHS service teams and other stakeholders to deliver comprehensive support and improve clients' recovery through employment.
Requirements
- Experience working with vulnerable populations, particularly in supporting individuals with complex needs.
- Proven track record in managing a caseload and helping clients find meaningful employment.
- Must reside in South Cumbria and hold a valid driver’s license due to the geographical coverage of the role.
