IOT Software Engineer Industrial Safety Solutions

Role Overview

COREEHS is seeking an IoT Software Engineer to create advanced industrial safety solutions. The role focuses on developing connected systems that bring together safety sensors, wearables, and industrial equipment with cloud and analytics platforms so workplace risks can be identified early, prevented, and managed effectively. You will work closely with safety specialists, hardware engineers, and data scientists to deliver scalable, secure, and standards-compliant IoT applications for industrial settings.

What You Will Work On

• Create and launch IoT-enabled safety applications such as gas leak monitoring, PPE compliance tracking, fall detection, and machine health monitoring.
• Connect sensors, wearables, and smart devices to gateways and cloud environments.
• Develop solutions using industrial IoT communication standards including MQTT, OPC-UA, Modbus, BACnet, LoRaWAN, and Zigbee.
• Design live monitoring dashboards for safety insights and predictive analytics.
• Use edge computing to support local alerts and on-site decision-making.
• Maintain data protection, system integrity, and compliance with applicable regulations such as the Factories Act, OSHA, and ISO 45001.
• Partner with other teams to integrate with safety management systems covering incident tracking, audit records, and compliance tools.
• Test, troubleshoot, and fine-tune systems for reliable performance in demanding industrial conditions.

Required Background and Experience

• A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics, IoT, or a closely related discipline.
• 2 to 5 years of practical experience in IoT software development.
• Strong coding ability in Python, C/C++, or Java across embedded and application-level development.
• Experience working with cloud IoT services such as AWS IoT Core, Azure IoT Hub, or Google Cloud IoT.
• Working knowledge of industrial communication protocols like MQTT, OPC-UA, Modbus, and LoRaWAN.
• Solid understanding of real-time processing, APIs, and SQL/NoSQL databases.
• Hands-on exposure to data visualization platforms such as Grafana, Power BI, or custom dashboard solutions.
• Awareness of cybersecurity practices relevant to IoT systems in industrial networks.
• Preferred exposure to Industrial IoT or other safety-critical environments.
• Experience with AI/ML models for predictive maintenance or risk forecasting is an added advantage.

Eligibility

Applicants should hold a B.Tech / B.E. in Information Technology or Electronics and Computer Engineering. The experience requirement for the role is 2 to 5 years in IoT software development.
