Job description
Role overview
A fast-growing boutique hedge fund with several billion dollars in assets under management is hiring a newly created marketing and investor relations support role. The firm has delivered strong results in its market and is looking for someone who can take on day-to-day support work for the Head of Sales and an Investor Relations Manager.
What the role involves
The main purpose of the position is to own the operational side of marketing and investor relations support so senior team members can concentrate on fundraising and managing existing investors. You will help keep marketing materials and presentations current, manage the CRM, coordinate investor follow-ups, arrange meetings for the sales team, and act as the first contact for investor questions and requests.
You will also prepare ad hoc research and presentation materials to support internal decisions, especially around marketing strategy. From an early stage, you can expect to attend investor meetings and gain exposure to client-facing work.
Progression
This is a newly created role that is expected to be re-hired within two years, giving the successful candidate room to grow within the business. In the longer term, the position could lead toward a more capital-formation focused role or a more senior investor relations position internally.
Candidate profile
The firm is seeking someone currently working in marketing support, investor relations, or client services at a junior level, ideally with around 2 to 4 years of relevant experience and looking for increased ownership. A strong academic background is preferred, along with excellent written communication, Excel, and PowerPoint ability.
Compensation and working style
The salary for this position can go up to £80,000 base, with a significant bonus opportunity based on individual performance. The company offers a flexible working-from-home arrangement, with at least three days per week required in the office and additional flexibility where needed.
