About the Role
This position is part of the Investment Strategy Team situated in Munich, focusing on fixed income and public equities. The team operates internationally with members worldwide. The role encompasses diverse tasks such as investment data management, market research, and aiding in the formulation of investment proposals tailored to local insurance portfolios aligned with the group strategy. Within Allianz Investment Management’s global network, you will engage with expertise in public equities and fixed income.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze data related to equity and fixed income market fluctuations, measure performance, and support continuous portfolio management processes.
- Assist in developing and executing Allianz’s global investment strategy specifically within equity and fixed income markets.
- Support the creation of investment proposals by conducting qualitative and quantitative evaluations of equity and derivative markets, as well as varied fixed income sectors including sovereign debt, credit, emerging markets, and foreign exchange.
- Maintain and enhance tools used for regular market status updates.
- Conduct market research and develop individual research projects.
- Contribute to the communication of internal strategies and financial market insights.
Qualifications and Skills
- Strong proficiency in data analysis combined with a keen interest in data-driven insights.
- An enthusiasm for capital markets and investment concepts; familiarity with fixed income, public equity, or derivatives is advantageous.
- Self-motivated individuals capable of working independently within a dynamic, international setting.
- Curious mindset with an ability to rapidly acquire new knowledge.
- Excellent communication skills, including openness to feedback and effective exchange of ideas.
Experience and Educational Requirements
- Applicants must be enrolled students for the entire internship duration.
- Currently pursuing or completed undergraduate studies in business administration, economics, or mathematics with strong academic achievement.
- Previous relevant professional experience is beneficial but not mandatory.
- Fluency in English is essential; additional language skills are a plus.
