About Edenred Ventures

Edenred Ventures operates as an independent venture capital entity, supported solely by Edenred as its sole limited partner. The fund targets Seed and Series A European B2B technology startups across sectors such as Future of Work, Fintech, Retail/Commerce Technology, and Professional Mobility, also extending investments selectively to early-stage and specialist funds aligned with these domains. Edenred is a global platform listed on Euronext Paris, engaging over 60 million workers, 2 million merchant partners, and 1 million corporate clients in 44 nations, blending the agility of a venture fund with the extensive commercial reach and sector expertise of a major corporation. This partnership affords portfolio companies capital access alongside diverse product and geographic insights, including operational proficiency. The team is small, decision-autonomous, and holds itself to rigorous standards.

Role Overview

We are looking for an Investment Manager or Principal (title depending on the candidate’s experience) to join our London office. This position entails full responsibility for the investment process, including opportunity sourcing, detailed evaluation, execution, and ongoing portfolio guidance. The role requires hands-on work, significant autonomy, and the potential to assume enhanced leadership responsibilities over time. Candidates with a strong background in venture investing who seek greater ownership and influence over the platform are especially encouraged to apply. A distinctive aspect of this fund is the emphasis on delivering strategic value to Edenred beyond financial returns, so a solid understanding of Edenred’s business and operating model is essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and generate quality investment opportunities within the fund’s core sectors by cultivating a robust network among founders and the broader ecosystem.
  • Conduct end-to-end due diligence including assessments of founders, commercial viability, financial health, and market conditions to form clear investment theses.
  • Develop and deliver succinct, well-structured investment proposals to the Investment Committee for approval.
  • Manage transaction execution processes such as term sheet negotiation, legal contracts, and deal closure.
  • Forge and maintain productive collaborations within the Edenred organization, sharing insights and knowledge.
  • Provide strategic and commercial value-add to portfolio companies leveraging the Edenred network post-investment.
  • Keep abreast of market developments and formulate high-confidence sector theses aligned with strategic focuses.
  • Engage in team growth efforts, mentor junior staff, and help refine working processes.
  • Represent Edenred Ventures externally by participating in ecosystem activities, engaging with founders, co-investors, and conferences.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • Fluent professional command of both French and English languages.
  • At least six years of relevant experience including a minimum of three years in venture capital, corporate venture capital, or growth equity investments; experience with Seed or Series A rounds is preferred.
  • Background in investment banking or consulting is beneficial; candidates with founder or operational experience moving into investing are also welcomed.
  • Experience investing in B2B companies and familiarity with specified sectors is a plus.
  • Proven success in independently sourcing, leading, and closing investment deals.
  • Strong commercial acumen capable of evaluating markets, business models, and founder potential effectively.
  • Extensive network in the UK and/or European technology ecosystem ready to leverage immediately.
  • Location in London or willingness to relocate to London.

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • Demonstrates strong ownership with minimal ego; proactive and responsible for delivering outcomes independently.
  • Collaborative team member with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering constructive debate and establishing trust with founders and senior stakeholders.
  • Analytically disciplined, skilled in market sizing, competitive analysis, financial modeling, unit economics, and valuation techniques.
  • Intellectually curious about emerging transformative technologies and fluent with AI-related tools and processes.
  • Comfortable making and defending decisions in situations with incomplete information.

Why Work With Us?

  • Immediate empowerment and autonomy to lead deals rather than just support activities.
  • A unique structure combining venture fund independence with the strategic advantages of a corporate global platform.
  • A compact, trusted team culture embodying entrepreneurial spirit—proactive, resourceful, and ambitious.
