About the Role
This position sits within a growing commercial real estate lending and investment business that structures and closes complex, high-value transactions across a range of property types. The right candidate will bring a sharp analytical mindset together with strong relationship-building and deal-making skills, supporting work from initial opportunity sourcing through underwriting, structuring, and closing.
This opportunity is well suited to someone who already understands the full commercial real estate finance process and can contribute across sourcing, analysis, transaction execution, and investor or borrower relationship management.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate commercial real estate deals spanning multifamily, office, retail, industrial, hospitality, and mixed-use assets.
- Review borrower financial statements, rent rolls, operating reports, tax filings, and relevant market intelligence.
- Create and assess financial models, cash flow forecasts, and valuation workups.
- Design loan terms and investment structures aligned with risk profile and overall deal strategy.
- Identify and generate new lending opportunities through brokers, borrowers, investors, and professional networks.
- Track transactions from early-stage review through final closing.
- Handle coordination for due diligence, legal paperwork, title matters, third-party reports, and closing deliverables.
- Prepare and present lending and investment recommendations to senior leadership.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with lenders, brokers, borrowers, and capital providers.
- Follow market activity and highlight promising lending and investment opportunities.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of experience in commercial real estate underwriting, investment analysis, mortgage banking, acquisitions, or loan origination.
- Solid knowledge of commercial lending structures and commercial real estate financial analysis.
- Hands-on experience underwriting income-producing assets and judging investment potential.
- Demonstrated success in sourcing, negotiating, or originating commercial transactions.
- Exposure to banks, private lenders, debt funds, bridge financing, agency loans, or institutional capital.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial modeling.
- Strong verbal and written communication, along with solid negotiation skills.
- Comfort working in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial setting.
