Job description

About the organisation

LGT is a global private banking and asset management business owned by an entrepreneurial family. As the family office linked to the Princely House of Liechtenstein, it has long-standing experience managing substantial pools of assets.

Role overview

The Investment Fund Analyst will be part of a high-performing Investment Product & Services team, supporting the research, assessment, and delivery of managed investment solutions across both listed and private markets. The role offers close exposure to senior investment professionals and the Investment Committee, along with involvement in portfolio construction, global investment strategies, and sustainable investing initiatives.

This opportunity suits an ambitious analyst seeking to deepen investment knowledge, learn from seasoned leaders, and contribute in a fast-moving, collaborative setting.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist with researching, selecting, and continuously reviewing managed funds across asset classes for inclusion in the Approved Product List.
  • Examine fund manager commentary, market developments, and portfolio exposures to identify risks, drivers of performance, and potential opportunities.
  • Draft investment analysis and recommendations for internal forums, including quarterly and yearly review cycles.
  • Work with senior analysts and portfolio specialists on portfolio construction and asset allocation input.
  • Help create client-facing investment content and insights to support advisers and discussions with clients.
  • Liaise with fund managers, keep due diligence records current, and support disciplined investment processes.
  • Contribute to operational tasks such as fund administration, reporting, and data quality maintenance.
  • Support the expansion of sustainable investment options and new investment solutions.
  • Partner with advisers to present practical investment ideas and assist with client engagement activities.

Candidate profile

The ideal candidate is an analytical professional with a genuine interest in investments and the ambition to build a career in a high-quality environment.

  • 4 to 5 years of experience in investment analysis, funds management, or a closely related discipline.
  • Strong analytical and critical-thinking ability, with the capability to interpret data and market intelligence.
  • Excellent communication skills and confidence when presenting ideas and working across teams.
  • Strong attention to detail, plus the ability to juggle multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • A proactive, self-driven approach, with resilience and curiosity.
  • A degree in Finance, Commerce, or Business is required, with RG146 certification or a willingness to obtain it.

Why this role stands out

  • Work alongside experienced investment specialists and gain exposure to sophisticated global investment strategies.
  • Contribute directly to decisions that affect high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients.
  • Join a future-focused team exploring sustainable investing and changing market opportunities, backed by a global organisation with a strong local presence.
