About the Role

This position is based in Frankfurt am Main, Germany, and focuses on the dynamic renewable energy sector. The role is situated at the nexus of Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) and project development, with a primary responsibility for identifying, assessing, and finalizing renewable energy deals throughout Europe. You will be instrumental in screening investment prospects, aiding in due diligence, and shaping deal structures. Furthermore, you will collaborate with internal teams to convert successful transactions into concrete project development pipelines. This opportunity provides comprehensive exposure to the entire deal lifecycle, encompassing origination, commercial evaluation, and execution, all while contributing to the company's strategic expansion and investment objectives within the energy transition.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and evaluate investment opportunities in the renewable energy sector across Europe.
  • Support and conduct due diligence processes for potential transactions.
  • Contribute to the structuring and execution of renewable energy deals.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to translate acquisitions into project development pipelines.
  • Engage in commercial analysis and strategic planning for investment initiatives.
  • Manage deal origination, negotiation, and closing processes.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in renewable energy, infrastructure, or energy transition projects, with a preference for solar PV, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), or other power assets.
  • A robust background in transactions, investments, or project development, such as M&A, project finance, or strategic roles.
  • Proficiency in understanding project economics and performing financial modeling, including valuation, cash flow analysis, and sensitivity testing.
  • Demonstrated experience with deal execution, encompassing due diligence, structuring, and coordinating with various stakeholders.
  • Capability to work effectively with both commercial and technical teams, guiding projects from initial assessment to completion.
  • Familiarity with European energy markets, regulatory environments, or project development procedures is highly advantageous.
