Job description

Role Overview

This position entails managing investment portfolios for regional high net worth and ultra-high net worth clients across multiple asset classes including unit trusts, equities, fixed income, foreign exchange, and structured products. The Investment Consultant will develop comprehensive investment strategies tailored to clients' risk profiles and aligned with the institution's viewpoints, while upholding stringent governance and control standards. Additionally, the role involves enhancing the investment acumen of relationship managers through targeted training.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver investment solutions and oversee portfolios for affluent clients from diverse regions such as Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, the Philippines, and Greater China.
  • Communicate the Chief Investment Officer's long-term investment perspectives, considering current market conditions to guide client advice based on individual risk tolerance.
  • Continuously monitor macroeconomic and market developments as well as client portfolio performance, ensuring alignment with the documented risk appetite established during client onboarding.
  • Serve as a pivotal resource in achieving business objectives by attracting and retaining key clients.
  • Support relationship managers in designing and adjusting client portfolios that reflect risk preferences and market opportunities.
  • Encourage organic and inorganic growth of platform Assets Under Management through value-added client services and portfolio growth initiatives.
  • Enhance relationship managers' holistic understanding of investment landscapes, strategies, and products.
  • Collaborate with RMs and internal experts to provide integrated advisory services including portfolio construction and rebalancing aligned with significant client lifecycle events.
  • Ensure strict adherence to regulator and internal compliance standards within advisory workflows and documentation.
  • Maintain compliance within all audit, compliance, and regulatory frameworks to uphold fully compliant client portfolios.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Possess a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Business, or Accountancy.
  • Successfully completed CACS 1 and CACS 2 certifications.
  • Hold advanced industry accreditations such as Chartered Financial Analyst designation is considered advantageous.
  • Have at least 7 years of experience in the financial sector, including a minimum of 5 years in investment advisory or equivalent roles.
  • Exhibit strong collaboration skills with a team-oriented mindset.
  • Demonstrate a keen passion for investment management.
  • Possess excellent interpersonal skills and organizational insight.
  • Show advanced analytical abilities and conceptual thinking capabilities.
