Investment Banking Senior Analyst - Consumer & Retail

About the Role

An elite boutique investment bank is seeking a Senior Analyst to join its Consumer M&A team located in New York. This opportunity arises due to steady deal flow and a robust pipeline in the Consumer sector. The team specializes in strategic M&A transactions within sectors including Food & Beverage, Beauty & Personal Care, Consumer Services, and Branded Consumer Products. They operate within a focused, execution-driven environment while managing high-quality deals.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead execution for both sell-side and buy-side M&A deals within the Consumer industry.
• Create and sustain comprehensive financial models, valuation assessments, and operational case analyses.
• Develop marketing collateral such as Confidential Information Memorandums (CIMs), management presentations, and materials intended for prospective buyers.
• Conduct and coordinate due diligence activities and oversee data room management.
• Assist senior bankers with client engagement, outreach to potential buyers, and managing transaction processes.
• Collaborate directly with management teams, private equity investors, and strategic acquirers.

Candidate Qualifications

• Minimum of one year experience in investment banking at the Analyst level.
• Proficient in financial modeling, valuation techniques, and analytical problem-solving.
• Capable of working effectively on lean deal teams with substantial hands-on execution duties.
• Excellent communication skills facilitating direct interactions with clients and senior stakeholders.
