Overview

Join Barclays Investment Bank as an Investment Banking Analyst specializing in the Real Estate, Gaming, and Lodging (REGAL) sector. This role offers the opportunity to deliver customized financial solutions across various assets within this sector while supporting the REGAL team. Strong communication will be key, enabling seamless interaction with both internal teams and external clients to ensure prompt and outstanding client service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and nurture robust relationships with corporate clients by understanding their businesses, financial aspirations, and industry trends.
  • Identify and propose new business opportunities that broaden the bank’s client portfolio.
  • Conduct thorough financial analyses and due diligence to evaluate client company health and valuation.
  • Work closely with legal and compliance departments to draft, review, and maintain necessary documentation for transactions including contracts and agreements.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with teams like Capital Markets, Sales and Trading, Research, and Risk Management to deliver comprehensive client solutions.
  • Engage clients on energy transition, sustainability, and climate strategy initiatives, promoting sustainable finance where relevant.

  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of how the sub-function integrates within the broader organization.
  • Make informed evaluative judgments using detailed factual analysis and resolve challenges using technical expertise.
  • Serve as a liaison for stakeholders beyond the immediate function, building networks both inside and outside the company.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Experience in financial modeling and valuation techniques.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret income statements, balance sheets, cash flows, and debt transactions.
  • Involvement with mergers and acquisitions, IPOs, and secondary offerings.
  • Corporate finance expertise specific to the REGAL sector.
  • Project management abilities and familiarity with financial platforms such as Training the Street, Wall Street Prep, FactSet, or Bloomberg are highly regarded.
  • Understanding of complex real estate concepts and real estate market experience.

Compensation and Location

This full-time role is based in New York, NY and is regulated by FINRA. The annual base salary range is $110,000 to $135,000, which excludes additional benefits or other forms of compensation.
